I’ve been incredibly fortunate to travel widely over the past 20 years - from dirt-poor backpacking to indulgent luxury, rushed weekend getaways to endless months on the road - and across more than 100 countries. Every trip left its mark, and I still find it hard to put into words just how lucky I feel to have had these experiences.

I built this site to do two things. First, to try to honestly rate and rank those experiences - from the maximum Wow-factor to utterly Gash. Second, to share the practical, hard-earned tips I picked up along the way - all my personal opinion, all my own photos, no AI, no photoshopping.  They, along with the ratings, are there to give you a more realistic sense of what an experience is actually like, beyond the hype.
